Minnesota Do-Gooders Club believes connecting with peers often leads to the best ideas and biggest inspirations, so we provide a forum where nonprofit professionals can exchange insights about our industry’s best practices and technology. Our goal is to increase the amount of good we are able to do by learning from one another’s experiences, to strengthen our own work and to raise the profile of all communications work done in Minnesota’s nonprofit sector. Do-Gooders Club is an informal, friendly environment where Minnesotans can find the stories and resources they need to take their organizations to the next level.
Matthew is a web designer and developer who’s worked (almost) exclusively with nonprofits for loads and loads of years. He served as communications director for Minnesota Fringe Festival and as in-house designer at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy before making the plunge into full-time freelance life. He’s also a producer, playwright and director and, most recently, made a return to school. He’s very busy, but it’s usually a lot of fun.
Wendy is co-owner of 5 by 5 Design, a strategic marketing, graphic design and creative communications firm. Her broad experience with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations allows her to apply smart thinking to every new creative challenge. Wendy is an experienced presenter and proven leader within the nonprofit community. She is on the board of directors for Girl Friday Productions, is a past board member and committee chair of the Minnesota chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), and co-founder of Minnesota Do-Gooders Club, an organization for communications, design and marketing professionals who work with nonprofits.
